Dietary staples include whole grains, dried beans and lentils, oatmeal and nuts, seeds, and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Even Trader Joe's sells Italian almonds that, in fact, are heat treated at 170-190 degrees, essentially killing nutrients found in their raw form.
